I have the priveledge of taking Graphic Safari daily courtesy of technology.
These days my tour bus comes courtesy of twitter and the posts by swots in their fields, this was from @David Airey Four techniques for combining fonts: http://bit.ly/cZzBCD (by @H_FJ)
My safaris can be tailor made the latest was a venture into typography.
So here is my background with fonts: I love them, I love to go into illustrator type out a sentence and see how it looks in 100 different font faces.
When answering a brief I am restricted by my laws max two different fonts and if pushing it on a good day when its absolutely imperative one more, but go crazy with the bold, italics, spacing.
Helvetica a font used by Safaricom campaigns amazed me with the derivatives of it Helvetic neue 110 to the sky is the limit, different weights that once you place them together with the pictures on a certain background you get seriously unconcious about time you emerge from your travel on the other side with enlightenment disillusionment or a curious mix of both.
The latest trip I took astounded me titled four techniques for combining text from H&FJ email newsletter. It was quite an adventure I have returned not the same.
